Mirror Mirror On The Wall Who Is The Fairest Of Them All

Mirror Mirror On The Wall Who Is The Fairest Of Them All

I got a little introspective this week after a conversation with 2 different guys at an art event. I found the one that was less attractive according to society’s standards to be way more attractive. This got me thinking about our ideals of beauty. Are they real? Or are they just fed to us and we take them in like good sheep.

With examples like Heidi Montag, Kim Kardashian and Meg Ryan I think the obsession with a false ideal of beauty can be a very dangerous thing.

I believe it a greater beauty. A more powerful beauty. Something that can never be taken away.

“The beauty of a woman is not in a facial mole but the true beauty in a woman is reflected in her soul. It is the caring that she lovingly gives the passion that she shows. The beauty of a woman grows with the passing years.”
~Audrey Hepburn

I do think that everyone has their own definition on what beauty is and
what they think is beautiful 🙂

Media displays attractiveness, lust, etc. Not the ideal partner, ya know,
personality. And let’s face it, people go for attractive first, because
it’s what you see first. And of course it’s totally fucked. They used to
represent values, at least to younger society. Ever watch Don Jon?? That’s
a pretty great example of how that type of shit warps the brain. (end rant.
    Lol)

In the media perfect hair, big boobies, and a big butt is beautiful, but in
reality people just have different beauty. What’s beautiful to one person
may not be to another. And btw I love Wendy Williams!!! Lol

I’ve seen countless “beautiful women” that I consider ugly because of the
ass crack ugly attitude towards people and how conceited they are. It
drives me bat crap crazy. Then there are the ones that are on a worldly
scale most would consider average and she can be the brightest, most
beautiful 48k diamond in the world just for simply being a wonderful,
    considerate, good hearted person.

I had this crush on a much younger girl at work for awhile. Her face was a
little goofy looking, she was average height, a little overweight, but had
an amazing ass. (I’m not an “ass” person lol) Her presence though and the
way she expressed her emotions, distracted me from finding fault with her
face/appearance. There was one time she was joking with the guys and asking
if another guy had talked about her (that she was attracted to), and her
face and eyes just lit up with excitement, it was so beautiful. 🙂

I wouldn’t say one is better than the other though. Attraction is as much
physical as it is emotional/spiritual. I can be really attracted to a
girl’s personality but if I meet another girl with the same great qualities
AND is much more physically attractive, I would not consider them equal.

Having said that, maybe the reason a girl would get her baby hair removed,
is she feels she doesn’t have anything more to offer (to a potential mate)
    except refining her appearance.
