Berlin: Learning From The Pain

Berlin is definitely one of the most interesting cities I have ever visited. It is a thriving European city filled with artists, musicians and entrepreneurs. At the moment, it is one of Europe’s most cutting edge cities when it comes to young people being able to think outside the box and create. It was so interesting to see all this happening while exploring the city’s haunting past. Berlin is where Hitler resided and the city fell victim to some of the biggest attacks during World War 2. After the fall of Nazi Germany, Berlin was occupied by the Soviets and the Berlin Wall went up in 1961. Come with me while I take you on a journey of this miraculous city.

Best Places To Stay In Berlin:

Sir Savigny:

Sir Savigny is a boutique hotel situated in the centre of West Berlin. This luxury urban retreat built in 1893 showcases the works of local artists and craftsmen. The rooms are designed for the modern aristocrat with custom furnishing, lightning, fabrics and books. And lets not forget about the awesome bathtub…this was my favorite feature. I also had a fully stacked bar with a nespresso machine in my room. This place was an absolute dream. I also had a delicious breakfast and dinner at their restaurant “The Butcher”. The service was amazing. Ask for Siv if you stop by, she was my favorite waitress.

Generator Berlin Hostel & Apartments:

I can’t say enough amazing things about Generator Berlin in the Mitte district (center of the city) . I stayed in their amazing two story apartment. It was spacious, modern and clean with it’s beautiful wood floors. I had sweeping views of the city, a flat screen TV, an amazing kitchen and a nespresso machine. Their hostel below is a great oasis for travelers. I met so many friends and toured the city with people from all over the world. They also have laundry facilities, an amazing organic café and hopping bar. If you stay at this hostel you are sure to meet many friends and have a fulfilling stay in Berlin. The Generator Berlin is a must.

I’m wearing our beautiful Grace leggings. Not only are these great for yoga, I can add a touch of color and fun to a gloomy city. The pattern on the leggings are images taken directly from a ROSE ONYX Crystal. Onyx is associated with the root chakra. It assists with challenges in life, especially those caused by a drain of energy. It prevents the draining away of personal energy and can be used for protection from such. It also helps with grounding or eliminating unwanted energies. https://confusedgirlinthecity.com/
