Confused Girl in Vienna

“Beauty is how you feel inside, and it reflects in your eyes. It is not something physical.” – Sophia Loren⁣

Vienna is quite the charming city with elaborate Baroque-era monuments, chandelier cafés and fall colored trees. I had an amazing stay at Das Triest  hotel in the center of Vienna. The suite had a retro chic interior with a walk-in closet and epic views of Saint Stephan’s Cathedral. The roof top terrace had for great photos as well.

The Vienna Tourism Board organized a wonderful private tour featuring the extravagant Hofburg Imperial palace located in the center of Vienna. The palace was built in the 13th century and expanded several times afterwards. This was the former palace of the Habsburg dynasty and now serves as the workplace of the President of Austria. The palace had the most stunning library I’d ever seen with over 200,000 books.

One of my favorite museums was The Albertina. It houses one of the largest and most important print rooms in the world with approximately 65,000 drawings and approximately 1 million old master prints. If you are an art lover, it’s a must do!

I also recommend getting a Vienna City Pass from the Vienna Tourism Board. The pass allows access to all public transportation, including to and from the airport. It also gives discounts on tours and restaurants.

Last but not least, do yourself a favor and order the traditional Wiener Schnitzel at Vienna’s best restaurant, Glacis Beisl.
