But aren’t we all just vagabonds searching for life in nutshells where life never once existed?
As you all know, I am a person who can’t stay in one place for too long because my soul craves adventure and discovery. Although every trip has it’s unique story not all are magical. I think we only get a handful of truly magical adventures where everything is seamlessly aligned and the joy of life is felt in every cell of one’s being. Well, my trip to Carmel was very much that.
I took my mom on a girls trip to Carmel where I was being hosted by the extraordinary Vagabonds House Inn. Upon arrival we were greeted with a bottle of Veuve Clicquot Champagne, a box of local dark chocolates and $500 to spend eating are way through Carmel.
Whether it was the staff at the Vagabonds House Inn, owners of restaurants, or the shopkeepers, everyone was so joyful and hospitable. It was as if we had traveled into a fairytale land. Not to mention that the architecture and natural beauty of Carmel is in a league of it’s own.
While I was enjoying this fun girls trip with my mom I actually crossed paths with a man that I quite fancy (blushing). He even took my mom and I out on the town for a fun filled evening. Nothing better than to have your mom in approval of your new beau…hahahaha. Who knows what will happen from here but I’m enjoying the ride and following the bread crumbs. The one thing I do know is that anyone visiting Carmel should check out the Vagabonds House Inn. The room was completely renovated with a gorgeous stand alone tub which I thoroughly enjoyed. The room also had a sweet view of the moth covered rooftops of Carmel’s charming buildings. We had a fire place in our room with a seating area to get cozy and enjoy a bottle of wine. The staff was so helpful and kind. They took all of the necessary precautions to make everything Covid friendly while still being personable. We also really enjoyed the breakfast they would deliver in the morning. Everything was so fresh and beautifully prepared. We can’t wait to go back. This is our new favorite Carmel spot!
