In a world full of trends. I want to remain a classic.
I had the most amazing stay at The Ritz-Carlton, Dallas for my pre-birthday celebration. I’ve been hosted by many hotels and I can confidently say that The Ritz is in a class of it’s own. They put me up in one of their beautiful suites with a connecting room for my friend. I had a beautiful view of Dallas from my room and upon arrival I was greeted with a bottle of Justine wine, delicious macaroons, room fragrance and a wrapped gift. It was so nice to feel special and pampered after 5 months in quarantine.
The next morning I was able to experience a one hour massage at their spa. Upon arrival, I was given tea, a comfy robe, slippers, water and a snack. The masseuse had some magic hands because I ended up falling into a deep peaceful sleep. After waking up and taking a dip in the jacuzzi, the spa manager wished me a Happy Birthday and gave me another birthday present. What a great way to start my trip to Texas! Might just end up moving here lol. The attention to detail, hospitality, kindness and manners were on another level. I also noticed the spa had a beautiful steam room and sauna. Due to Covid, they were temporarily out of use. I’m excited to check them out when all this crazy is behind us.
They also have a “Commitment to Clean” program that has been instilled to ensure the safety of guests and team members in response to COVID-19. I felt incredibly safe and comfortable throughout my entire stay.
That night I had a fabulous dinner at Fearing’s Restaurant. The service was incredibly professional and friendly. The entire staff wished me Happy Birthday. The General Manager came to our table and gifted me a Texas Cuisine Cook Book signed by Chef Fearing…so sweet! The food was absolutely delicious and fresh. I highly recommend their colorful carpaccio with different meats and fish. The meat was perfectly tender and the fish was fantastically fresh. For my main course I had the Prime Beef Filet & Chicken Fried Maine Lobster. It’s their signature dish and you can’t go wrong with this one. The flavors were bold and savory. The pecan dessert was probably the best dessert I’ve ever had. Pecans are produced in Texas and you could taste the fresh sweetness.
