When People Talk Trash

Ask Confused Girl “When People Talk Trash”

“Great minds discuss ideas; average minds discuss events; small minds discuss people.”
– Eleanor Roosevelt

Katie from LA wrote me a message about a Co- worker who said some pretty nasty things about her to a business associate. Like Katie, we all have had people say mean things about us. We have also probably been guilty of speaking badly about others as well. My experience has shown me that how you talk and treat others is a direct reflection of how you feel about yourself. If you are talking badly about someone else, it’s probably because you yourself are feeling insecure.

I think this is important to remember when you hear something negative someone said about you. Instead of taking it personally (I know that is really hard not to do because it feels very personal) just remember that it actually has nothing to do with you and everything to do with the way they feel about themselves. Secure happy people don’t need to put down others to make themselves feel better. If you can muster up the strength, try to show kindness and compassion. I know it’s hard but if you do, you will always come out the winner 🙂

Make sure you take a look at the Confused Girl Activewear I designed with you guys in mind! Our item of the week is one of my favorites which I wear all the time – the Abundant Capri leggings! These leggings feature a gorgeous Malachite crystal, and the cropped length makes them so versatile and easy to wear!

We have all had someone talk badly about us behind our backs. Check out how
    I handle the situation!

I think your advice is perfect. Maybe you should consider uploading one of
your typical vids and an advice video each week. I think you may be on to
something with this. Hope you’re doing well!

Good advice 😉 I think too many people these days feel like they can just
spew their bile and hatred on others. I believe it’s a sign and symptom of
the sick condition America is now in. This country is in serious trouble.
    Gossip sucks!

Well, either her accusation about being dumb has merit or it doesn’t.
Speculating whether she was hired for her looks is irrelevant. You’re
judged on whether you do a good job, so do a good job. I’d never worry
about coworkers saying bad things about me, personally. Because personal
life has no place in the workplace.
