I’m probably going to be alone for the rest of my life. *plays song “All By
    Myself”*

I think a lot of us are attracted to people like how we’re attracted to
junk food, or fast food. Usually the best looking “food” is the most toxic
    or unhealthy.

The Law of Attraction is about what you want, and *only* what you want.
When you are saying, “I want this, *but I don’t want this.*”, you’re not
decisively seeking what you want, and therefore cannot strongly attract
what you want. The stronger your thoughts and emotions are towards
something, the stronger your actions will be in achieving that end. But if
you are also trying to avoid negative criticism, or the things you don’t
want out of life, or from others, the weaker you will attract what you
    really want.

And like you pointed out, peers and family can’t tell you who you are. But
instead of examining the ways in which this has shaped your identity and
even to what extent your subconscious, simply understand *the truth*.
Understand your nature. What really makes you happy? When you know yourself
in this way, you are free. Free to be yourself, and therefore attract the
best person for you, because you are now thinking and acting solely based
on what makes you happy. And not what makes you fearful, insecure, or any
    other negative (irrelevant) emotion.

Inscribed in the Temple of Apollo at Delphi was the maxim, “TEMET NOSCE”.
    KNOW THYSELF.

    To put it another way:

The meaning of life is happiness.
    Fear is irrelevant.
    Depression is irrelevant.
    Shame is irrelevant.
    Anger is irrelevant.

What makes you happy, what you desire, is like a river. That is your
nature, which will never change. A river flows only in one direction. And
that current is as strong as your desire.

In life, we place ourselves in “canoes” on that river. *There is only one
direction we can go.* But a lot of the time, we try to paddle against the
current, to stay in one spot. Or we try to paddle upstream, because it
looks very interesting over there, or maybe there’s some interesting
people. So you’re fighting your nature, everything that you are that is
pulling you in the opposite direction.

And other times, it’s because there’s a bear that just showed up and
started fishing but decided to try to eat you instead. 😛 It’s situations
like these, especially with adversity, that makes us aware there’s only one
direction to go. And that is to follow your heart; to do what makes you
    happy.

I don’t really see what any of this has to do with any kind of substantial
strategy for attracting men, I suppose the difference is in “attract” and
“obtain”, one does require more effort which is why American women
    especially are increasingly confused.

Captain Save a Hoe! Love it!

I exclusively date/attract criminals. I need to work on this. I know it’s
because my mother never loved me, but there is nothing I can do about
    that…
